Fort Frederick 2019

I have my kit together for I'm to leave in the morning to report to Fort Frederick, to help in the training of a group of rangers.

I am attending the School of Rangers this weekend at historical Fort Frederick in the state of Maryland.
I will be staying in the barracks sleeping on a wooden bunk, straw tick, two wool blankets and lots of fire wood to keep warm.
The weekend weather promises to be dry but cold. Looking forward to a good weekend with friends and time in the field.
The fort was built during the French and Indian war. British and local militia were garrisoned at the fort and sent out on ranging parties to patrol the area and try to deter any Indian raids.
