Forks & Salt Gourds

e

I picked up the forks along the way. They are clean and the wood scales are sound and tight. I made up the leather cases to protect your fingers from being poked when digging in your pack.

The Salt Gourds are a great item to put in ones pack. They are lined with beeswax.

Wooden Noggin & Spoon

Here are two items that I picked up at local thrift stores.

First the noggin. As seen in the second photo it had the shape of a fish, but with a coping saw and some sandpaper it turned into a useable noggin. The spoon I didn’t need to do anything. I did stain it a little darker and rubbed both the noggin and spoon in with mineral oil. I didn’t remove the persons name that was scratched into the bottom. I believe they both are a great addition to my kit.
