Leather Shot Bags & Accouterments for the French & Indian War.
Welcome to my Blog! My name is Darrel Lang and I specialize in the Replication of Leather shot bags & Accouterments made in the colonies by the harness and saddle maker of the18th century. All items are hand sewn using waxed linen thread, dyed, then treated with neatsfoot oil & bee’s wax. The leather used is of veg. tanned cow hide 2-3 or 4-5 oz. weight. Other materials used are pig skin, period correct linens for the 18th century and iron or brass buckles. Please take a look at what I have to offer. Thank you!

Ordering Info.

No deposit is required to order any of my leather work.  Full payment in advance is not needed nor advised; it will not get your order finished any sooner.  I complete the items one at a time and in the order they are received.  I’m not a factory and can only work as fast as time and my standards of workmanship will allow.  At the time of ordering I can give an estimated time of delivery but, please understand that this is an estimate and it may and probably will vary depending on what life throws at me between time of order and completion.  I will always try and complete all orders in a timely fashion while ensuring the highest standards of workmanship.
If you are looking to have me make a sheath to fit a knife or ax of your own, then you will need to send it to me at your cost.  I will not make any sheath from a tracing or cut out.
