Shot Bag #66

With the cancellation of events and some down time I decided I would make a new shot bag for myself.
I made the bag to look the same as my old one, the only difference is I added a gusset 1" wide tapering down to 1/8 “and made it deeper about 1”. The strap is 1/4” wider because a friend gave me a hand made brass buckle to use on my bag. It’s a nice little bag. I’m just not sure on the size, it looks BIG! Well turkey season is coming up fast so I will give it some woods time and see if I like it.

Older Bag

Belt Bag

This simple bag is hand stitched with welted seams and made of 2/3 oz. veg. tanned leather. Dyed, and treated with neatsfoot oil and sealed with bee's wax. Bag is  6"W x 4 1/2"D  fitted with two belt loops in the back to take up to a 2" belt.
The Flap is double sided with simple tooling added to the front and the edge is burnished. Button closer. No pocket.

Larger Belt Bag

This bag is a little larger in size, 6"W x 5 1/4"D with a 3/4" tapered gusset.
It's hand stitched with welted seams and made of 2/3 oz. veg. tanned leather. Dyed, and treated with neatsfoot oil and sealed with bee's wax. A small outside pocket 4"W x 2 1/2"D fitted in the back with two belt loops wide enough to take a 2 1/2" belt.The flap is plain in the front while the back is lined with a striped linen and the edge is trimmed in pig, with a button closer.

3 Small Belt Bags

The bags are hand stitched with welted seams and made of 2/3 oz. veg. tanned leather. Dyed, and treated with neatsfoot oil and sealed with bee's wax. These three bags are the same size, 5 1/2" W x 4 1/2"D with a small pocket attached to the front of the bag. 4"W x 2 1/2"D  they have two belt loops attached to the back of the bag that will take up to a 2 1/2" belt. The flaps are different on each bag. One has some simple tooling on the front and is lined with a cotton print on the back the edge is trimmed in pig with a button down closer. Second bag is double sided with some simple tooling on the front with a button closer. Third bag is doubled sided, plain with a button closer.
Great for ones fire starting kit or other items needed.

This bag is hand stitched with welted seams and a 1" tapered gusset made of 2/3 oz. veg. tanned leather. Dyed, and treated with neatsfoot oil and sealed with bee's wax.
Bag size is 6 1/2" W x 8" D
Has a small  inside pocket,
4 1/2" W x 3' D
Flap is doubled sided with simple brass button closer.
Strap is 1 1/4" wide tapering down to fit a 1" iron buckle

This bag is hand stitched with welted seams and a 1 1/8" tapered gusset, made of 2/3 oz. veg. tanned leather. Dyed, and treated with neatsfoot oil and sealed with bee's wax.
Bag size is 7" W x 9" D
Has a small  inside pocket,
4" W x 4' D
Flap is doubled sided with simple tooling done on the front side and a brass button closer.
Strap is 1" wide with a iron buckle.
