Leather Shot Bags & Accouterments for the French & Indian War.
Welcome to my Blog! My name is Darrel Lang and I specialize in the Replication of Leather shot bags & Accouterments made in the colonies by the harness and saddle maker of the18th century. All items are hand sewn using waxed linen thread, dyed, then treated with neatsfoot oil & bee’s wax. The leather used is of veg. tanned cow hide 2-3 or 4-5 oz. weight. Other materials used are pig skin, period correct linens for the 18th century and iron or brass buckles. Please take a look at what I have to offer. Thank you!

New Belt Knife & Sheath & Patch Knife
Just finished up this belt sheath for the knife I picked up at the CLA show last weekend from CLA member Nathan Allen.
I also so made up a sheath for the patch knife that was made by a student from the Hershel House/ Woodbury School, it will be attached to my shot bag.

This is a bag that I just finished making. It is made the same as all of my past bags, it is 6" wide x 7 1/2" deep and a 1 1/2' gusset, no lining or inside pocket the strap is 1" wide with a forged buckle also has some tooling on the flap. This is a well made leather pouch.

Knife & Sheath
Today I just finished up this leather sheath for a good friend of mine who has just purchased one of Kyle Willyard new English trade knifes from Old Dominion Forge.

New Bag #3
This is a new bag made for a gentlemen from Mo. The bag is made from 3oz. veg. tanned leather, hand sewn and dyed a dark brown. The bag is 7" wide by 9" deep and has been lined with a 18th century brocade patten and a small inside pocket, there is a larger pocket on the back side of the bag also. The flap has a small amount of tooling done and copper button closer. Strap is 1" wide with a hand forged oval buckle added.
