This small axe is great to used to do all the small chores on a Trek or in camp, like cutting kindling and game prep. It's a much lighter alternative to a belt axe. This axe is made to be carried over the shoulder. The sheath is made from 3-4oz. veg tan leather, hand stitched and dyed a dark brown and treated with bee's wax. The strap is adjustable with a brass buckle and will fit an average to tall person.
The head is forged from medium carbon steel with a slight hammered finish and it has an oval eye. The size is about 4 1/4" long and has a 2" in cutting edge. The axe is fitted with a 12" hickory handle.
